This research was supported by the inaugural ACMI + RMIT Small Research Grant program, a partnership initiative between ACMI and RMIT University’s Design and Social Context Enabling Capability Platform. The program invited researchers to develop projects in response to ACMI’s exhibition Marshmallow Laser Feast: Works of Nature, with the aim of broadening research relationships between the institutions and creating new opportunities for engagement with ACMI’s exhibitions and programs. This work represents one of four diverse projects selected from thirteen proposals, spanning creative practice, technical innovation, and critical analysis.
